Crystal Black Velvet

One of the best things our farm did was travel out to Amber Autumn Alpacas and purchase ELK Jacob (co-owned with Loney's Alpaca Junction). He was the perfect compliment to our breeding program that was lacking tight crimp and density. He was able to compliment all of our Crystal Spartan and Snowmass Royal Gold XX offspring perfectly. Jacobs offspring have done nothing short of making us happy in the show ring, consistently placing in the top of their class. Jacob has given us offspring of all colors, but some of his best offspring are our dark colored animals. He was not genetically color tested but he does push black offspring when bred to other animals with the possibility of producing black. Jacob was named 2021 Herdsire of the Year (small farm division). While ELK Jacob is now closed to outside breedings, we do have a son out of him that did very well in the show ring and has also produced some beautiful animals that is open for breedings.
